My ANTI-Car of the week!
This week I did quite a lot of car photography, but my favourite was not a car at all! It was a classic Harley Davidson bike, a beautiful, sleek machine; belt driven (instead of a chain) and with abundant chrome.

There’s now two “Car of the Week’ possibilities this week – and I’m not exactly sure which one I will award my coveted ‘Car of the Week’ first place! I like them both – and they’ll both sell fast, with professional imagery luring clients into the showrooms!
My CAR OF THE WEEK this week is the BMW M4 Champion – a rare sight!
So many nice cars to photograph last week that that it was hard to choose one for ‘Car of the Week.’ But for sheer class it had to be this beautiful Porsche 911 Speedster.

Like a black cat cowering in a coal bunker, photographing a white car on a white background presents certain difficulties. But then that’s why, when prestige car dealers need photography for their website, they use specialists like me!
This beautiful new BMW 116d sports the new design of the latest One Series, and cuts a dashing figure against its white background…
The key of course, is to slightly underexpose the white car, and overexpose the background by at least two stops. So, ideally the camera should be on a tripod, and the shot bracketed, and later combined in Photoshop. Best practice too is to use a light meter to get the correct exposure on the car.
