A short overnight stay in Enniskillen gave me a few minutes to get down to the famous Enniskillen Castle for a few shots. The Castle is the home of the museaum of the Royal Ennniskilling Fusiliers, and is sitauted right on the banks of Lough Erne.
In the town centre the townscape is dominated by the Anglican and Roman Catholic churches, situated facing each other on the top of the hill. Only the RC Church was open to the public.
Lough Erne itself surrounds the town of Enniskillen (the town centre is an island) and provides a natural tourist resource. The Lough is an attraction for fishermen and boaters, and attracts viviters from all over the world.
My ‘Shot of the Day’ was this night-time photograph of the Castle:-
