Another strong entry for our Baby of the Month Competition (supporting the David Sheldrick Wildlife Fund) when Baby Sophia visited us at Dundonald today.

Pet Portrait Open Day
Dakota the Husky
This afternoon we had a visit from Dakota, a nine month old Siberian Husky puppy. As you can see, he’s a lovely dog!

Cooper the Jack Russell
Cooper the Jack Russell
This delightful, four-legged poser came to Dundonald for his portrait to be entered into the Pet Portrait awards, 2016. This national competition supports the work of Dogs Trust and affords great prizes, with superb canvas prints for prizes at the local level and a whopping £1000 cash prize for the national first prize!

Let’s hope Cooper romps home! Book your four-legged friend into the competition here…

Studio Techniques
What a great day in the studio! My first shoot for the brand-new Pet Portraits Awards, a lovely Mummy and Me Shoot, then a wee family. Today I was shooting with the Nikon Df Camera tethered to an Apple MacBook Air, using my new Smart Shooter 3 app. It’s much easier to use than Nikon’s own transfer programmes, and cuts out one step in the workflow, for the images are already on the computer for processing, so no download after the clients have left.
Here’s my image of the day, Katie and hannah on the swing/dreamcatcher…
Teddy Bear’s Picnic!
Summer’s Coming – so GET READY TO PICNIC!
At Dundonald, I’m getting ready for the Summer! This year our studio Summer Kid’s Theme will be ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic!’ You can bring a couple of kids to have a lovely day out with their teddies – and some of our favourite soft toys will join in too! And especially TEMBO our very own little baby elephant.
There’ll be proper little cups and saucers in the Teddy Area, and juice and biccies, – all after some fun photos first with the green screen! Your Summer Teddy Bear’s Picnic will last around an hour.
