At our professional studio at Dundonald, we have a variety of posing aids and props to suit all ages, including Sydney – the Studio Snake. Snakes are well known for mesmerising their victims, until they are under their influence. So when baby George came in for his second ‘Baby’s First Year’ portrait appontment, he fell under Sydney’s charm and soon was totally spellbound! Here they are together…
They create interest and make a baby shoot irresistible! I found this wooden boat in a new shop in Belfast and immediately I thought it was well worth the £25 or so that it cost!
Combine it with a green backdrop and a couple of lights in the studio and it’s a great asset! And young Arlo here seems to be enjoying it too!
I’m often asked by parents, ‘How long will my family photo session last?’ So here’s a handy guide to how much time to plan for your child’s session.
At Portraits2Go.co.uk you can pick between different shoot types.
Mini Session: 25 minutes. This session is fantastic if you simply want 2 or 3 images to record your offspring growing up. These work particularly well for older children who can follow directions easily. We craft some variations in the poses but we don’t change venues or outfits.
Standard Session: 60 minutes. Our most popular session by far is wonderful for younger children. The extra time also lets us capture some more creative photographs. We will shoot on various backgrounds. You will have at least one change of clothing as well. For younger children it lets them warm up and calm down.
Super Session: 120 minutes. For groups of three or more kids this gives every child plenty of time to be involved and photographed without them getting bored in between. We will be able to shoot them in groups and individually. We can have lots of poses and creative photographs too. You can usually manage several outfit changes if you wish.

Photographs make exciting Christmas presents. If you need a present for Mum, Dad or Granny then give them something to treasure forever
We recognize many of our clients like to have photoshoots before Christmas so they can give personalized Christmas cards and framed portraits to parents etc.
If you’re stuck for what to give for Christmas then you’ve got to admit that photographs are a terrific present.
A pretty family shot for Gran and Grandad? A smashing children’s portrait for Mum? A glamour set for hubby to keep?
You can choose from a wide range of shoots including families, couples and portraits. Prices start at just £50 for a family shoot with 7×5 inch print.
With a comfortable viewing session you can buy additional prints – or digital photographs – for all the family members.
